CUSTOMER REVIEWS

It's marketed as a more premium product but what you get is quite cheaply made and probably will not last as long as expected for It's price point . I wouldn't have kept it but I needed straight away

Simon Valle, 31/03/2023

Been using my old faithful 'heavy' makita for years now then plucked up the courage to replace it for a lighter model and could not believe the accuracy of this machine for the price.

This is my first mitre saw from Metabo. I've only been using it for a few weeks, so far very happy. It is not large in size, very good for 2nd fix. Precisely cuts.

Maciek, 31/12/2020

its a well made machine at a good price so far i am very happy with its accuracy ect.

K Lever, 17/07/2020

Bought this saw based on good reviews. What I got was not fit for purpose. Nice looking saw and well built but doesn’t cut square, either vertically or horizontally using the preset 90 deg settings. Item sent back. Still waiting for a reply from FFX.

Chris Mitchell, 06/07/2020

Portable, compact, accurate and quiet (and the built-in light is a real bonus). I'm delighted.

I've had this saw about a month now and overall I'm happy with it. For the price it has excellent features especially when compared to Festool's 216mm Kapex. Pro's - super compact in use and in transport, soft start on motor, very well thought out controls, excellent extraction, excellent fit and finish (except for the head plunge stop, see below!) Con's, only one but it could be a big one! When you plunge the saw all the way down there is a limit stop on the left hand side of the head that's also used for the trenching facility that stops the saw hitting the chassis. This works okay but seems a bit light duty to me and as its only referenced on the left hand side of the head if you push a little it causes the whole head mounting mechanism to flex a little which can mess up your cut. I've found that I need to be gentle when nearing the bottom of the head travel on cuts and its not an issue. I haven't used a kapex so don't know if this sort of thing is normal on this form factor of saw
